I now feel my favorite season is autumn. I love the cooler nights, colorful leaves and cozy clothes. I love the sound of crunchy leaves when I walk and run in the park. I love the thought that soon, snow will fall and blanket the ground. I love the temperature. Its pefect with a light jacket in New York, but not too cold yet. Little adorable kids in costumes at Halloween. Adults in costumes aren’t cute. They look silly.
Have a great Fall.
I’ve learned that finishing a marathon isn’t just an athletic achievement. It’s a state of mind; a state of mind that says anything is possible.

Update: Since my post 8 months ago, Facebook has become even more popular and has added a plugin for Twitter. I do like Twitter, but no, I am happy from the self-imposed exile from Facebook. So, if like me, you need to bid adieu to Facebook, read on.

Influenced by invites from close friends, I too succumbed and created an account. But then I started wondering what the fuss was all about. I want to meet my close friends, speak to them on phone or when possible hang out with them. I don’t want to know from their status if my friends are getting drunk or are generally peeved over some thing or other. To me Facebook was an irritant and an unwelcome distraction. When I tried to delete my account, lo and behold, I couldn’t do it ! Facebook only let me ‘deactivate’ my account thus storing all my information intact in the hope that I would come back later. No thanks!
So, for many of us who no longer want to be on Facebook, here is the solution.
Go to this page:
http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account
Click “Submit”.
Your account will be permanently deleted within a few days.
This method is official and should be complete, i.e. no need to delete individual photos, comments, messages or items from your profile or anywhere else on Facebook. And yes, you are welcome!
